Due to lack of funding and donor support for organizations working to create Civic Education on issu...Mehr lesenes of drugs consumption, abuse and drug related crimes in South Sudan, the rate of drugs consumption, abuse and crimes among young people is very high across the country. As part of our "monthly youth engagement forums" supported by #SpendeDirekt, TIDE conducted a workshop to raise awareness among young women and men on the dangers of drug consumption, abuse, trauma and crimes. The beneficiaries will serve as ambassadors and will share the skills gained with others in their residencies and location. The activity was attended by over 30 participants drawn from Gudele Block 9 Area of Juba. Some of the root causes of drug abuse include, poverty and shattered dreams, unemployment leading to trauma and commitment of criminal activities such as domestic violence, robbery, formation of youth gang groups (niggas), communal fights and suicidal attempts and deaths among others.
