Why Nufashwa Yafasha Nursery school

Pre-primary education is instrumental for children to succeed i...Mehr lesenn primary and secondary school, giving them foundational knowledge and language skills. Yet it is largely inaccessible to families in Rwanda. Almost all schools are private or international and charge very high fees. They are very difficult for rural families to afford and access, as most are concentrated in the capital city of Kigali.
This project will support local community initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of children's education, and enable affordable opportunities for pre-primary schooling.
Long-Term Impact
This initiative aim to change the cultural mindsets of parents and local authorities who do not recognize the importance of pre-primary education. It is also increase collaboration between local authorities and communities, around the importance of early childhood education. With access to early education, children will be better equipped with skills that will prepare and ensure them success in later schooling and careers.

This new academic school year 2022-2023 our school has received more than 80 children. They are chil...Mehr lesendren from disadvantaged families in the Ubudehe Cat 1,2 category. As usual they get Kindergarten education for free of charge and two daily meals. Breakfast and lunch in the fight against malnutrition. Our main goal in teaching young children is to provide them with rich experiences that develop self-awareness, self-confidence and make learning fun.

We have three class levels; Baby (age 3-4), Middle (age 4-5), and Top (age 5-6). Student-teacher ratio is 26.6 Every teacher is certified and provides instruction in both English and Kinyarwanda.
At each level, learning is through play where children learn to think, reason, and develop important skills using puzzles, tablets, toys and books. Students attend class from 7:00 a.m. – 17:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. We aim to integrate all types of programs to provide a comprehensive learning environment. Our main goal in teaching young children is to provide them with rich experiences that develop self-awareness, self-confidence and make learning fun.

Yesterday at the NYO Nursery School in Ngarama in Gatsibo District there was a grading ceremony for ...Mehr lesenthe children, with a parent meeting.
• During the parent meeting; The school administration has highlighted the progress of the trimester, and parents are also appreciative of the way the partnership is improving the lives of the children raised in the school.
• Parents are concerned that children graduating from NYO when they are about to start studying at other institutions are delayed due to the quality of various education.
• Parents have suggested that children may continue their primary education at NYO School. The parents agreeing that all contributions needed are ready to serve. In this regard, the management of the school pointed out the obstacles that need more building and they promised to discuss with NYO partners.
• Time to hear the results; in general children are very successful. This is due to the well-being of the children and the role of the parents.
The next semester will begin on April 17, 2022, with parents urged to take care of their children.

The girl you see in picture is MUKAMPARIBATENDA Josiane, who started getting help from NY...Mehr lesenO since 2015. She had dropped out of school due to poverty and family problems. At the time, he had two parents, a poor family, and his mother has colonic mental illness. Her father, who was also trying to care of them passed away (died) after being left behind by her mother, who was unable to raise her because of the mental illness. It was a difficult life. @nufashwayafasha , we have continued to support them. We kept supporting Josiane and his brother. Currently, she is studying for Sinior 4 years in Accounting at Lycee De Muhura. She is a girl of good character and strives to develop her and the country as a whole.
